NSTA offers 4 weeknight competitions which are open to all members of the public. They cater to both social and competitive standard players.
Our weeknight competitions are of a Home and Away structure, with most matches played at Talus St, Naremburn and Tennis Valley (Willis Park), Chatswood.
We offer 4 weeknight competitions:
Monday Pairs (Mixed Venues) Teams of 2 3 sets of doubles, each set is best of 8 games Max time 1.5 hours
Tuesday Singles (Mixed Venues) Teams of 1 3 sets of singles, each set is a tie-break at 5-5 Max time 2 hours
Tuesday Mixed (Tennis Valley) Teams of 2 men and 2 women Each player plays 1 set of unisex doubles and 2 sets of mixed doubles with the same partner, each set is a tie-break at 5/5 The home team supplies a light supper for the away team
Wednesday Triples (Mixed Venues) Teams of 3 Each team is ranked 1, 2, 3 Each player plays 1 set of singles versus same-ranked opponent in singles (e.g. 1 v 1) Each player plays 2 sets doubles (1 with each team mate, e.g. 1 plays with 2, 1 plays with 3, 2 plays with 3), each set is a tie-break at 5/5
For all competitions: The home team supplies new balls The home team records results onto Xpoint (Xpoint is where draws and results can be found – for information on how to upload results, please consult the the red button below. If you are having troubles, please contact the administrator at firstname.lastname@example.org) 3rd point deuce is played (e.g a game would go: 40-30, deuce, AD, sudden death point), the receiver chooses which side to play the point on. NSTA is not staffed during playing hours and does not make decisions regarding wet weather, please contact your opponents to discuss and contact the club you are scheduled to play at directly to seek advice about the condition of the courts Winners of night comps receive trophies or towels at your choice Please keep in mind the spirit of our weeknight competition is social and is a fun atmosphere
