NSTA holds a inter-club competition for juniors on Friday Afternoons (if you are not a member of an NSTA club, please visit the ‘Clubs & Centres’ tab to find the closest club to you. NSTA may have limited home courts available to those who are not members of an NSTA club – please contact the administrator directly
Friday Competition Format
– Teams of 2 – Each player plays 1 set of singles and 2 sets of doubles, each set is a tie-break at 5-5 – Start times are between 4:30-5:30pm, lasting approx 2 hours – The lowest division of this comp is played with Green Balls – The competition runs 4 times a year during the school term. The competition runs for 7 weeks + a Grand Final
For all competitions: – The home team supplies new balls – The home team records results onto Xpoint (Xpoint is where draws and results can be found – for information on how to upload results, please consult the the red button below. If you are having troubles, please contact the administrator at firstname.lastname@example.org) 3rd point deuce is played (e.g a game would go: 40-30, deuce, AD, sudden death point), the receiver chooses which side to play the point on. – NSTA is not staffed during playing hours and does not make decisions regarding wet weather, please contact your opponents to discuss and contact the club you are scheduled to play at directly to seek advice about the condition of the courts – Winners and Runner-Up of Friday Competition receive trophies – Please keep in mind the spirit of our weeknight competition is social and is a fun atmosphere

Looking to start your child playing comp? Enrol them in the NSTA Friday Afternoon Junior Comp! Features of the comp include:
Match time is 5pm to 7pm (some green ball matches 4.30pm – 6pm)
2 x doubles and 1 x singles per player (green ball only play 1 x singles and 1 x doubles per player)
7 rounds plus finals
3 great venues (Willis Park/Tennis Valley, Roseville Lawn Tennis Club and a third to be confirmed), so the atmosphere is great and you know where you’ll be playing!

Finals played Friday 21 September (only 1st and 2nd placed teams on the ladder after 7 rounds play in the final)
Entry fee for direct entries of pairs include court hire and balls for home matches (to be collected from NSTA office prior to Round 1)
